School buttons
I love designing my own look. Even though in high school it is really wiser to just blend in. I want to stand out. My mom is really proud of me, and I am equally proud of her. She is the one who taught me to value my independence and individuality. We have our queen bees at school, but they don’t razz me much. I guess they respect my need to be different from their clones.
One thing that I really like jazzing up is my backpack. I have had the same backpack since school started but it has evolved through the months. I once painted it with some fabric paint. Then I added patches. Now I am into sticking on buttons of different designs. Even the bees like my bag. They asked me once where I got the school buttons I stuck on it. I said, “like, duh, at the coop of course.” But I guess they’d never be caught shopping there.
