Autism Buttons
We have made these “I have Autism” buttons for a few years now. We designed and made the buttons but the idea was created by Nicholas Lombardi, age 11, for his brother Joey, age 9, who has autism. Nicholas wanted to explain to the world that Joey, and other kids like him, cannot help how they behave. He wants people to be more understanding of his brother and other people with autism. These buttons are being sold on Autism Speaks website at http://events.autismspeaks.org/c.ghKJIYPGIqE/b.3962073/site/apps/ka/ec/Product.asp?ProductID=564763 . Nicholas’s mother orders these buttons from us. She told us Nicholas said “mom, we could help lots of kids this way…and sell them and pay for some more speech therapy. “ His mom is so proud and we enjoy making buttons for such a great cause.
