Promotion on a Shoestring Budget

Many struggling bands have a difficult time making it out of the garage and into the limelight because of a lack of initial funds. Without the money to promote themselves, they are often stuck performing at small local gigs where exposure is low and advancement is difficult. But even without a huge amount of upfront money, there are ways to help gain exposure for your band.
One of the best ways is through custom buttons for the band. These are cheap to make in bulk, and they can be handed out to all friends of the band members. They can also be given away or sold at the shows that the band is able to land. When people wear them around town, it will help to garner the band some much needed exposure and some underground credibility.
