St. Patrick’s Day Buttons
We just added some new St. Patrick’s Day buttons to www.buttonsandmagnets.com the other day. St. Patrick’s Day buttons are always a big hit. Everyone loves showing their spirit. It is also an easy and cheap way to wear green (and not get pinched)! Below is one of my favorites. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!
Basketball buttons
I found these cool basketball buttons at www.buttonsandmagnets.com. I bought them for a youth team I help coach in the ymca league. All the girls loved them and there parents too. Even the kids and parents from other teams asked me where I got them. They have cool and funny sayings on them that really gave the kids something to look forward to for the rest of the games. I told them I would have a different basketball button for them each game, they were very excited! I’ll definitely be buying more buttons and won’t be surprised to see the other teams that noticed them buying from www.buttonsandmagents.com as well. Here is a funny one I got last week for the team.
Obama buttons
Obama buttons are still selling like hot cakes on www.ButtonsAndMagnets.com . It seems like everyone wants a button to remember this monumental time in presidential history. Your never know, these buttons might be worth some money someday. We have had a few customers buy several of each design so they can make a collectors pack and sell them. We now have over 200 Obama designs! Here is one of the more popular ones.
Eye Catching Buttons
Today at ButtonStar we are finishing up an order for 40,000 3-inch custom buttons that say “30% Savings or More, The Commissary…It’s Worth The Trip!” Buttons are a great way to advertise. As long as the buttons are eye catching and easy to read they will catch peoples attention. These particular buttons are bright yellow with red text and fruit in the center….they will definitely catch your eye.
What a busy week we had!
Wedding Favors for All!

If you’re going to get married in the near future, you are probably having recurring dreams (or nightmares) about double-frosted raspberry filled vanilla cakes and four-inch white satin stilettos to match your white lily and red rose bouquet. And in all likelihood, you probably toss and turn at night haunted by the idea of that perfect wedding favor. This can be a particularly tricky part of the wedding to plan.
After all, so many wedding favors make your guests roll their eyes, groan, or simply look for the nearest trash can. If you want to avoid this fate, consider handing out custom buttons as your unique and interesting wedding favor. Your friends and family will enjoy having a nice picture of the happy couple, and they can easily wear it during the ceremony or simply display it in their rooms as a keepsake long after the wedding is over.
Have Leftover Buttons from the Election?

When Obama took the election to become our latest president, it was a historic, memorable, and previously unmatched event in our history. And it was only natural to want to commemorate his run with a nice presidential button. These were a quick, easy, (and even fashionable) way to express your political allegiances to the world. But what will happen to all those Obama buttons now that the election is over?
In general, people tend to cool their political views once their candidate actually makes it to the White House. For that reason, it makes sense that the instances of posters and buttons has diminished since the historic election and inauguration. In honor of Obama’s message of change and living in a cleaner, more sustainable way, don’t just throw away your buttons. Rather, recycle them, and you won’t be contributing to our growing waste problem. Or, if you’re particularly dedicated (and organized), save your buttons in a drawer for four years and don them for the next election.
Custom 1.5-inch Purple Day buttons
Last week we started a large order of custom 1.5-inch buttons that are being used to raise arwareness of epilepsy and of purple day on March 26th. Here is some information about purple day from the website www.purpleday.org -
Founded in 2008, by nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada, Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26, people from around the globe are asked to wear purple and spread the word about epilepsy.
Why? Epilepsy affects over 50 million people worldwide. That’s more than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease combined.
Why purple? Lavender is the international colour for epilepsy.
Getting involved is easy. Wear purple and encourage others to do the same. Host a Purple Day party or fundraising event at your home, school or business.
