5th World Conference on Women Buttons

Author: Rachel  March 29, 2009

Each year we make 2.25-inch custom buttons for the World Conference on Women.  You can see a picture of this years button and read about the organization at http://www.5wcw.org/.   Here is a little information about how to get invovled from the website -

“This is a time to be an advocate for a 5th United Nations World Conference on Women, which would be the most influential and far-reaching women’s conference ever held. If the decision to hold it were made this year, in 2009, it could take place in 2012, and be the first with widespread use of the Internet and other 21st century technologies. The three years leading up to it would be a time for consciousness-raising, networking, and creating circles for action, reflection, and support.”

These buttons can be purchased (free shipping) on our website at http://www.buttonsandmagnets.com/activismbuttons

Capture the Essence of the Candidate

Author: ButtonBaron  March 19, 2009

designabutton-buttonstar.jpgAll candidates during an election will always have a button to give away.  They may have their pictures or slogans on them.  A lot of thought is given to design a button like those.  It really has to capture what the candidate is all about.

People wear their candidate’s button to show support.  And it is a great way to tell other people about the candidate they are supporting.  You can wear it at every rally, caucus and any public occasion where everybody can see your button.  These are cheap campaign materials that people will use and keep.

“I give to Keep a Child Alive” custom buttons

Author: Rachel  March 9, 2009

We recently made 1.5-inch custom buttons for www.keepachildalive.org.  The button was black with red and white text saying “I give to Keep a Child Alive.”

Here is some information straight from the site-

“Keep a Child Alive is dedicated to providing life-saving anti-retroviral treatment, care and support services to children and their families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and the developing world by directly engaging the global public in the fight against AIDS.”

It sounds like a great organization and these buttons will be a great way to spread their message.
